Matthew E. Kopera

Attorney Matthew E. Kopera graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law Cum Laude with a concentration in Criminal Law and Advocacy, one of only three students in his class who completed a Criminal Concentration (also with honors). He gained courtroom experience by completing internships with both The Office of the Public Defender in Hartford, CT as well as with the States Attorneys Office in Meriden, CT. My earliest memory of the law was watching the famous legal movie Twelve Angry Men. I remember in detail the importance of having a unanimous jury decision in criminal cases. It left a great impression on me about the potential for prejudice in the courtroom, as well as potential for reason and argument to overcome that same prejudice. I think it inspired me to become criminal defense attorney -Attorney Matthew E. Kopera, Esq.
