Michelle J. Ritchie always knew she wanted to be a lawyer as a young kid and became the first lawyer in her family. Michelles mission is to help clients and their families get the best legal representation. She graduated with a B. A. in Law and Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice Administration, and Sociology from the University of Findlay. Michelle helped reestablish the Law Society and received an academic recognition award for Excellent Work in Law and Liberal Arts. As a young single mother, Michelle knew she still wanted to pursue her dream. She attended The University of Toledo College of Law (with a toddler) and was a member of American Constitution Society and Delta Theta Phi. While in law school, she interned at the City of Toledo Municipal Court - Prosecutors office and participated in the College of Laws Public Service Externship Clinic at the Toledo Municipal Public Defenders Office. Michelle was in the Domestic Violence and Juvenile Law Clinic and received the Patrick M. Burns Memorial Outstanding Clinical Student Award. After law school, Michelle participated in the Toledo Legal Aid Society Fellowship program and was taught how to competently manage multiple criminal and traffic cases from the beginning of the arraignment to the sentencing stage. After the fellowship, Michelle was a full-time Assistant Public Defender, for the Wood County Public Defenders Office, handling lower-level felonies and misdemeanor cases.
