Bio A partner in the firms Bloomfield Hills office, Michael D. Weaver is one of Plunkett Cooneys most accomplished trial attorneys with approximately 80 cases tried to verdict. Mr. Weaver represents an array of commercial clients directly and through their insurance providers. Class Action Experience Successfully represented national restaurant chain in class action under the Fair Labor Standards Act involving a group of tip-credit employees from restaurants in southeast Michigan who sued because they were not paid during training and facility cleaning time Defeated certification of the class in a race discrimination case brought against a nursing home/long-term care facility located in southeast Michigan by a group of the facilitys certified nursing assistants. The remaining case was then tried to a no cause.
