Joseph F. Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Maryland, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society and holds a Juris Doctorate from the Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was awarded an academic scholarship. Mr. Schwartz has served as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, has written for the Philadelphia Lawyer Magazine, and had his work featured in a cover story in the Legal Intelligencer when his advocacy led to a Federal Judge invalidating a major oil companys mandatory employee arbitration policy. In 2009, he was selected as one of Main Line Todays Top Lawyers in the field of Personal Injury Law and has taught courses for the Philadelphia Bar Associations Peoples Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and throughout the country in Social Security cases. Mr. Schwartz has successfully advocated for his clients in jury and bench trials, oral arguments in Federal Court, arbitration matters, and also before administrative agencies including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, and the Social Security Administration. Mr. Schwartz and his wife, who is a physician specializing in physical rehabilitation medicine, have two sons.
