Whether in transportation or other enterprises, much of Tysons practice focuses on providing ongoing counsel and assistance to business and insurance clients navigating internal and external legal requirements. Tyson is called upon regularly to address industry associations on legal matters vital to the transportation industry. He represents local and national transportation companies in various areas, including trucking accidents, freight loss/damage, insurance coverage, employment issues and contract negotiations. An Oregon native, Tyson earned his undergraduate degree at Arizona State before returning home to complete his law degree at Willamette University. He worked his way through school by loading barges during summers in Alaska at a salmon cannery, and by working on the docks of a trucking company in Seattle. Tyson is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association and Conference of Freight Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Pacific Northwest Grain and Feed Association, and the Oregon Trucking Association. Tyson has appeared in federal and state courts in Oregon and Washington and is admitted to practice in both states. Tyson has been selected by his peers to appear on the Oregon Super Lawyers list as a Rising Star. This honor is only given to lawyers with outstanding professional achievements, who are under 40 and have been practicing under 10 years.I am continually inspired by the entrepreneurial pursuit my clients possess, and their drive to just do the right thing.
