J. Eric Harrison

Mr. J. Eric Harrison is a seasoned litigator with 30 years of practice experience. He has tried countless jury and bench trials in state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions concerning various areas of law. His primary area of focus is personal injury, property damage and construction litigation, on both the defense and plaintiff sides. He also has an extensive background in employment law, criminal and family law, real estate litigation, as well as wills and estate cases and municipal law. He also has extensive appellate court experience, having successfully argued cases before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. Harrison is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed Mediator in both general civil and family law mediation. Mr. Harrison is the alternate Municipal Court Judge for the City of Morristown. He previously served as the legal counsel for the Hamblen County Humane Society. In 2025, Best Lawyers recognized Eric in the practice area of Employment Law - Management. Mr. Harrison has been a speaker at numerous seminars on various business and employment law topics, as well as presenting at continuing legal education seminars on various litigation related topics.
