Shawn A. Kollie

Shawn was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Upon graduation from Oregon State University, Shawn attended the University of Oregon School of Law. During his second year of law school, he began working at a boutique criminal defense firm focusing exclusively on criminal, DUII defense, and civil rights cases. As a law student, Shawn interned with the Lane County Public Defender’s Office and upon graduation continued to pursue Criminal Defense and Second Amendment Rights. As the foremost Oregon Gun Law attorney Shawn has taken on hundreds of cases, many to trial. Shawn has helped well over five hundred Oregonians regain their rights to purchase and possess firearms allowing them to hunt and shoot with their families and friends. Shawn is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor as well as Certified to instruct the “Personal Protection In The Home” and “NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home” courses. Untold hours have been spend learning what it takes to be a true Gun Rights Lawyer. After practicing law in Portland, OR for over six years, Shawn moved his family to Bend, Oregon. In 2017 he opened his own firm; Kollie Law, PC and broadened his practice with a team of defense attorneys. Most recently, in 2021, Shawn (and his firm) moved to Medford, Oregon where he lives today. Shawn is married and the proud father of twin boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking, hunting, and shooting.
