About
Reuben A. Doupé is a partner in the Family and Marital practice at Coleman, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé, Diaz & Torrez, PA. in Naples, Florida. He is an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, and one of only a few attorneys in Southwest Florida admitted to the International Academy of Family Lawyers and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, organizations whose purposes are to promote the highest degree of professionalism and excellence in family law. Reuben focuses his practice on all Naples marital law, divorce law and family law matters. Prior to working at Coleman, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé, Diaz & Torrez, PA., Reuben was a partner at Klaus Doupé, PA, which focused exclusively on family and marital law, for more than 13 years. He is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law, a distinction granted by the Florida Bar, and recognized as Super Lawyers ® and Florida Trend magazine Legal Elite. Reuben is the President-Elect of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Florida Chapter. He is a current member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, where he is serving his second four-year term on the Executive Council, and has previously served in the leadership of numerous committees including the Rules and Forms Committee and on the Legislative Committee. Reuben is a member of the Collier County Bar Association, and a past-chair of the Family Law Section and past-president of the Young Lawyer Section. Reuben is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars across Florida. He has lectured on Post Judgment Modifications of Support, as well as Enforcement of Court Ordered Financial Obligations at the Annual Certification Review Seminar, sponsored by the Florida Bar Family Law Section and the Florida Chapter of the AAML. He has also co-presented in multiple webinars on topics such as the Changing Law on the Enforcement of Prenuptial Agreement, Proper Joinder of Third Parties in a Divorce Action, as well as How to Properly Seal a Court File. Reuben has been published in the Florida Bar Journal in November 2007 when he authored Ruberg, Parry and the Classification of Unvested Stock Options. In the Fall, Reuben officiates college football for the NAIA Mid-South Conference as well as high school football as a member of the Greater Naples Officials Association. He has been licensed with the Florida Bar since 2003, having received his Juris Doctorate in 2002 with High Honors from the University of Florida. Reuben received recognition in academic achievement through admission into the Order of the Coif and was presented the Book Award in Legal Accounting. He earned undergraduate degree in Finance with Honors from the University of Miami. Reuben was born in Ontario, Canada and raised in Ft. Myers, Florida.
