About
Mr. Behar is the founding member and Managing Partner of the Firm. Mr. Behar primarily concentrates on the defense of insurance carriers and their insureds in the areas of General Liability, Personal Injury, Labor and Employment, Errors & Omissions and Directors & Officers Liability. Mr. Behars practice also includes representing clients in matters concerning complex commercial litigation, class actions, contract and business disputes, personnel investigations and litigation avoidance techniques. He has represented clients in negotiating franchise agreements; buysell agreements and financing matters; several international reinsurance brokers in contractual disputes and unfair competition matters; international marketing and advertising firms; and several public entities. Mr. Behar also completed intensive training and is authorized by the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to conduct EEO investigations, pursuant to the Federal Standards set forth in the EEOC, EEO Management Directive 110, Chapter 6. These investigative techniques and methodologies comply with all Federal guidelines that define discrimination claims based on allegations of disparate treatment or impact based on race, color, national origin, sex (pregnancy), age, mental or physical disability, religion and retaliation. Mr. Behars practice extends from administrative proceedings to subsequent litigation and any resulting appeals. He regularly lectures to insurance carriers and private clients in insurance and employment law issues, and is registered with the Department of Financial Services as a provider of Continuing Education courses for credit.
