Patrick S. Martin

Patrick obtained his undergraduate degree from Rice University and his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he was an editor and published member of the law review. After law school, Patrick began his career as a briefing attorney for the Texas 13th Court of Appeals, followed by a position as an appellate lawyer with a regional Texas defense firm where he successfully represented dozens of clients. Patrick moved to the Florida panhandle in 1998 to practice insurance defense with Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, where he practiced until 2002. Following several years as principal of his own firm and as an associate at McConnaughhay, Coonrod, Pope, Weaver & Stern, Patrick became licensed to practice in Alabama in 2009. Patrick then joined GEICO Staff Counsel as a trial attorney in 2010, where he handled cases in both Florida and Alabama and used his considerable skill to advance to the position of Managing Attorney in 2018. Patrick later joined Boyd & Jenerette as a partner in 2022, before switching from defense to plaintiff representation in early 2024. Patrick has extensive trial experience throughout northwest Florida in automobile negligence, premises liability, dramshop, and general negligence cases. With a distinguished and prolific career spanning diverse practice areas, esteemed law firms, and a variety of disciplines, Patrick continues to leverage his experience on behalf of each and every one of his clients.
