Ronald Kurpiers

Tampa, FL Criminal Defense Attorney Ron is a highly experienced trial attorney with nearly 30 years in the legal field. He began his career as an Assistant State Attorney in Northern Illinois before joining the U. S. Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana. His legal journey also led him to serve as the General Counsel/Deputy Commissioner for the Arena Football League, where he handled legal matters nationwide. In 2004, Ron refocused his practice on State and Federal Criminal Defense, earning a reputation for his exceptional trial skills and meticulous attention to detail. He has successfully litigated a wide range of cases, from complex drug conspiracies to murder trials, averaging over 20 jury trials each year. Ron holds licenses to practice law in Illinois, Georgia, and Florida, with admission to multiple United States District Courts. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University in 1983 and his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1987. In addition to his legal career, Ron served as an adjunct professor at Valparaiso University School of Law and actively engages in volunteer work in the Tampa area, supporting organizations such as Metropolitan Ministries, Ronald McDonald House, Meals on Wheels, and I-Matter Too.
