Attorney at Law Email: [email protected] Elizabeth (Lisa) Rivera, Esq. is an associate who joined the firm in 2019 after merging her private practice with Barfield, McCain PA. Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. During her last three years at UCF she worked full-time as a paralegal for a real estate law firm. She then went on to attend law school at Stetson University, College of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 2008. During law school, Lisa interned with the General Counsels office of the Federal Bureau of Investigations and with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. She also acted as the Judicial Assistant and Law Clerk to Miami Dade County Court Judge Don S. Cohn. After becoming a licensed Florida attorney in 2008, Lisa worked for a law firm practicing real estate and bankruptcy law before opening her own practice in 2010, which she owned and operated until 2019. Lisa routinely represented individuals, families, and businesses in consumer, bankruptcy, and real estate matters. Lisa is admitted to practice in the U. S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Always interested in learning and improving her skill set, Lisa earned a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2018. She became a licensed attorney in the State of Georgia in 2021. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, twin boys, two Doberman pinschers, three cats, parrot, and 10 chickens. When she isnt tending to her family or animals you will find her cooking, gardening or watching college football.
