About
Dave Miller is a veteran trial lawyer with more than 36 years litigating medical malpractice cases. He spent the first 18 years of his career defending physicians and other medical providers in courtrooms throughout Oregon, as well as other states. Beginning in 2000, Dave shifted his practice from defending medical professionals to representing injured patients. There are few lawyers in Oregon with more courtroom experience litigating medical negligence cases than Dave. There are none with his depth of experience representing both physicians and patients. Dave Miller has sub-specialized in birth injury cases for many years and is one of the few attorneys in Oregon granted membership in the American Association for Justice Birth Trauma Litigation Group. Over the course of his career, he has handled more birth trauma cases than any other lawyer in Oregon who represents injured patients. With decades of experience, Dave Miller has a deep understanding of obstetrics and neonatal medicine. His ability to work with medical specialists who can comment on the performance of your labor and delivery team will give you a powerful advantage in establishing malpractice liability. Dave and his partner, Bob Wagner, have handled more spinal surgery cases in their plaintiffs career than any firm in Oregon. They are highly specialized in spine surgery cases and extremely connected to spine experts throughout the region, which gives them unparalleled access to qualified experts to represent their clients in court. Since becoming a full time plaintiffs attorney Dave has been inducted into the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers. In addition to his trial work, Dave has been a frequent lecturer for medical groups such as The Oregon Medical Association (OMA), Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), Oregon Anesthesia Group (OAG), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), Oregon Hospital Risk Management Association and other healthcare specialty groups. He has also testified before the Oregon Legislature and served on and consulted with legislative committees regarding medical negligence litigation, both from the perspective of physicians and patients.
