Colin H. Richards

Colin Hayden Francis Richards was born on January 13, 1981, in St. John, Antigua W. I. He is second child of the late, His Excellency, Conrad Freeston Richards, a lawyer and Ambassador, and Claudia Evelyn Francis Richards. On his fathers side of the family, his grandfather, the late Sir Novelle Hamilton Richards, Sr., wrote the National Anthem of Antigua and Barbuda, and his cousin, the right Honorable, Gaston Browne, is the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda. On his mothers side of the family, his other grandfather, the late Claude Earl Francis, was known as the greatest lawyer in the history of the island, and his cousin, the late Sir Lester Bird, was the former Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda. Growing up in a family with a strong political background, has helped Mr. Richards is a philanthropist, who gives back to the community. Mr. Richards spent most of his childhood in Antigua, where he graduated from St, Josephs Academy in 1998. In 2002, he received his bachelors degree from Florida International University. Immediately following undergraduate school, Mr. Richards attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he graduated in 2013. Upon passing the bar exam in 2014, Mr. Richards decided to go into private practice as a solo practitioner. In 2017, he launched Colin Richards Law P. A. As a young attorney, he has won millions of dollars in settlements for his clients. Mr. Richards has litigated cases in the areas of criminal law, family law, personal injury, wrongful termination, workers compensation, employment discrimination, civil rights, and other civil cases. Mr. Richards has gained experience working on high profile cases involving celebrities, and his clients boast that he is definitely one who will fight for justice. A philanthropist who also has a heart for youth, Mr. Richards spends his free time mentoring young people regarding the importance of education, career opportunities, and money managing skills. Mr. Richards also makes donations in the community and enjoys giving back.
