Dan K. Jones

Dan Jones was born in Oklahoma City and grew up in the small, rural town of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Dan was raised by his grandmother Eula, who instilled in him a strong work ethic. At 10 years old, Dan bought his first lawnmower and went to work mowing yards for his grandmother and her friends in the community. He used his small town work ethic to put himself through college at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a political science degree in 1993. Dan continued his education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law and received his juris doctor in 1997. Dan began his legal career as an intern at the prestigious firm of Mills & Whitten under the tutelage of the firms patriarch, Earl Mills, one of Oklahomas premier insurance defense attorneys. When Earl retired, Dan and Earls son Robert (Bob) Mills founded Mills & Jones, PLLC. As the managing partner of Mills & Jones, Dan became particularly aware of the business side of legal issues. As a result, Dan is constantly seeking better ways to control costs and create real value for clients. Dan represents individuals, domestic and foreign motor carriers, freight brokers, logistics companies, and insurance companies. He has honed his expertise in commercial transportation litigation and is regularly invited by his peers in the trucking industry to speak at conferences on a variety of topics. Dan also handles cases involving occupational accident benefits, contract disputes, insurance subrogation, underinsured motorist claims, and products liability. As a member of the Oklahoma Super Lawyers, Dan has been listed as one of the top litigation attorneys in Oklahoma.
