About
Dionne E. Webster-Cox is a social justice and civil rights advocate. As the sole member of Webster Law Office, PLLC, she pursues causes in order to uplift and support the rights those wronged by a system that benefits some and excludes many. Attorney Webster-Cox graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit in 1987. While at Cass Tech she was a member of the tennis team. In 1991 Attorney Webster-Cox graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in General Studies, concentrating on communication courses. While working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Ms. Webster-Cox decided to attend law school and enrolled in Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She worked full-time and participated in the weekend program and graduated in 2006. In 2007 Webster Law Office, PLLC was formed. For the first 13 years Attorney Webster-Coxs practice consisted of criminal defense, probate, parental neglect, and some personal injury. In the 14th year Attorney Webster-Cox partnered with other attorneys and her practice shifted to into civil rights litigation, personal injury and auto cases. Social Justice Civil rights litigation enables Attorney Webster-Cox challenge municipalities and State departments on practices that negatively impact all people, especially people of color, whose rights may otherwise be ignored. Attorney Webster-Cox identifies the long-term traumatic effect constitutional right violations have on the individual, as well as the community. Attorney Webster-Coxs goal is identify the issue and minimize the negative effects.
