Jake leads the firms Appellate Section and is co-chair of the Class Action Section. Jake has handled appeals in Florida and Ohio state appellate courts, along with the Third, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eleventh federal circuit appellate courts. Among his appellate highlights are successfully reversing orders compelling appraisal of insurance claims, reversing an order denying certification of a class of over 200,000 members, and successfully defending numerous Rule 23(f) petitions. He is also lead counsel or has been appointed class counsel in numerous class actions, including in the fields of auto insurance, car rentals, TCPA, deceptive bank fee cases, and more.
