Biography Born and raised in Scituate, Massachusetts, he graduated from Hobart College in 1986 and St. Louis University School of Law in l989. Upon graduation from law school, he began his practice as an associate at Healy & Healy, P.C., representing the interests of a number of municipalities, including Everett, Peabody, Stoughton and Foxboro, concerning general liability claims. In l993, he became a shareholder and director of Sullivan & Sullivan, P.C. and has continued his representation of insured defendants in premises liability, products liability and error and omission litigation. In addition, he has represented clients before municipal boards throughout Eastern Massachusetts. He is licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Massachusetts. Walter has tried approximately fifty (50) jury and bench trials. In addition, he has successfully argued at the appellate level on many matters. In 2009 he was appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts to serve as a member of the Board of Registration for Home Inspectors. He has also served as a conciliator for the Quincy District Court and the Southeastern Housing Court. He is a former Trustee of the Montessori Community School in Scituate, Massachusetts and currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees for Derby Academy in Hingham, MA. In addition, he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Campus of Caring, Inc., an in-patient end of care hospice facility. He is also a Trustee of The Company Theatre in Norwell, MA and he is a former Conservation Commissioner with the Town of Marshfield.
