He has successfully argued cases at the appellate level. Sam is actively involved in his community where he has been a longstanding board member of Missouri Equal Housing Opportunity Council, a non-for-profit organization that promotes fair housing. He has served as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and worked as a special public defender for the Missouri State Public Defenders Office.
