Kathryn Spencer

Kathryn A. (Katie) Spencer is a partner at Norton & Spencer, P. C., where she has spent her entire legal career. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, she focuses her practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, providing advice and counsel to people throughout the greater metropolitan area. Admitted to practice before all Missouri state courts, Ms. Spencer is also admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. A significant portion of Ms. Spencers caseload consists of her representation of clients who have incurred economic and noneconomic harm as a result of surgical errors, misdiagnoses, medication mistakes, birth injuries, hospital negligence and other forms of medical malpractice. Her personal injury and wrongful death practice have also encompassed truck and other motor vehicle crashes, construction site accidents, premises liability, and nursing home negligence. Throughout her career, Ms. Spencer has been able to obtain significant compensation for her plaintiff clients, in the form of both jury awards and negotiated settlements. Her colleagues have taken note of her successful track record, and as a result, she has been selected for inclusion in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, which is an invitation-only honor that is limited to 100 premier trial attorneys from each state. A native of Missouri, Ms. Spencer attended the University of Missouri as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2001. Remaining in Columbia, she pursued her legal education at the University of Missouri School of Law. After being awarded her Juris Doctor in 2004, she joined Norton & Norton, P. C. Ms. Spencers professional affiliations include the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
