About

J. Bart Smith Print Profile Bart is a native Texan who grew up in Anna. After graduating high school in 1992, he attended Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Business Management. Bart graduated Law School from Oklahoma City University. After graduating law school, Bart decided to return to his roots in north Texas to serve his community. Bart Smith has almost 25 years of experience exclusively in personal injury law. In his first ten years of practice, Bart represented insureds of large insurance companies defending claims against both personal and commercial lines of insurance. After becoming intimately aware of the insurance companies claims procedures and schemes, Bart shifted his career focus to represent injury and wrongful death victims against those very same insurance companies. Barts thorough understanding of the insurance companies tactics assists in the development of Burress Laws strategies that force insurance carriers to pay more compensation to the victims who are injured or lose their life at the hands of a negligent person or company. Outside of the office, Bart is an avid golfer (HDCP 6). When the Texas summer heat subsides, you can find him in front of the fire watching college and NFL football. He also enjoys cooking and traveling with his wife, Kelsey. When not on the move, Bart and Kelsey enjoy quiet time together at home with their dogs.
