Biography Cody grew up on a small cattle farm in Vichy, Missouri. He graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2013. After working as a legislative intern for the Missouri House of Representative, Cody attended the University of Missouri School of Law where he graduated with the honored distinction of Order of the Barristers. During law school, Cody was an executive member of the Board of Advocates and a founding member of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, where he helped local entrepreneurs address legal needs arising out of the creation of their businesses. After working as a legislative intern for the Missouri House of Representative, Cody attended the University of Missouri School of Law where he graduated with the honored distinction of Order of the Barristers. During law school, Cody was an executive member of the Board of Advocates and a founding member of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, where he helped local entrepreneurs address legal needs arising out of the creation of their businesses. He also worked as a legal intern for the multi-national semiconductor manufacturer, Brewer Science, Inc. and as an intern for the Missouri Attorney Generals Office in the Litigation Division. Additionally, Cody served as the team captain for one of the Universitys mock trial teams and assisted in Universitys championship win of the Attorney Generals Cup and their advancement to the National Trial Competition in 2016. Cody was recognized as one of the Top Ten Oral Advocates for the 2016 graduating class and was awarded the R. David Ray Trial Advocacy Award consecutively for the years of 2015 and 2016 and the Fred L. Howard Prize for Excellence in the Advancement of Advocacy in 2016. After law school, Cody began his career at the lake-area firm, McDorman & Parks, LLC, serving clients in a wide range of civil and criminal matters. He then worked for the Missouri Attorney Generals Office in the Litigation Division, where he defended the state against civil actions filed against it and prevented the loss of taxpayer dollars. Cody lives in Jefferson City, and enjoys camping, kayaking, and working out in his free time. Read less
