Daniel Palmer is a Principal in the firms Mt. Clemens office. He focuses his practice on no-fault litigation and other insurance defense matters. He rejoined Kitch after spending over 25 years in various aspects of tort and other litigation; as a defense attorney, plaintiff attorney, claims manager, facilitator, legal aid director, and Chief Judge. While Chief Judge, he created the Mental Health Court and Truancy Diversion Court for the 32 A District Court of Harper Woods. Additionally, Mr. Palmer was a four-term member of the Harper Woods City Council and former Mayor Pro Tem. Mr. Palmer is a certified civil mediator. Accessing his experience as a Judge, in-house attorney, law firm defense counsel, plaintiffs counsel, and litigation claim representative and manager, he has successfully facilitated an assortment of cases and was recently appointed to a 3-year term as a Councilmember of the State Bar of Michigans Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. Mr. Palmer attended Northwestern University and received a bachelors degree from the University of Michigan. Additionally, he earned his juris doctorate from Wayne State Law School. Mr. Palmer is a member of the State Bar of Michigan as well as a former President of the Wayne County District Judges Association. He is licensed to practice in Michigan as well as the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
