About

Colin is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the firm. He focuses his practice on the defense of personal injury, catastrophic loss and property damage actions. He is also often called upon by many of the nations largest insurance carriers to handle coverage disputes, and first party bad-faith claims. In addition to being licensed in Ohio, he has defended carriers and their insureds in Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Colin has also been recognized on numerous occasions for excellence in appellate advocacy. Colin represents manufacturers and suppliers of products ranging from industrial material handling products, plastics, roofing materials, wood-chippers, cranes, hydraulic lifts, commercial cooling devices, trucking components, hydrogen gas storage units, fuel containment mechanisms and fork-lifts against multi-million dollar catastrophic injury and property claims, with many of these claims resulting in death, catastrophic injury, claims of extended conscious pain and suffering and massive property loss. He recently defended a large material handling plastics manufacturer against a sixty million dollar, industry wide, product liability claim stemming from the loss of a massive plastic-injection molding facility in Kentucky that involved over forty experts and complicated fire suppression, material handling, warning and design issues. Colin is a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and was appointed by his peers to the Order of the Barristers. He has presented on the issues of liability stemming from hydraulic fracturing and natural gas extraction at the national level and has also presented on defending mechanical system failure claims.
