Shanin Turner

After working as an educator in Plano ISD for almost two decades, Shanin graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law while teaching to earn her JD. With her extensive teaching background and experience dealing with high conflict parenting issues, Shanin has developed a reputation among her legal peers for being able to negotiate through complex divorce issues with her clients while remaining centered on the best interests of the children of the marriage. Since 2013, Shanin has handled well over 100 cases and has successfully helped clients mediate final divorce settlements with terms and conditions in those agreements that are conducive to her clients successful co-parenting. She is not afraid to put on her suit of armor and go to battle for her client and their children in court to achieve those positive results. Family law matters that Ms. Turner has litigated include child custody, grandparent access, termination of parental rights, paternity, establishing child support, and child support enforcement actions.
