James Doyle

James Doyle is a seasoned trial attorney with more than 30 years of experience representing clients in complex litigation across the United States. Based in the Atlanta and Charleston, WV offices of Lewis Brisbois, where he serves as the office deputy managing partner, Jay has appeared before the United States Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, United States District Courts, and State Superior Courts nationwide. He argued before the Supreme Court of Georgia in a landmark case that established the current standard for premises liability in the state, a testament to his influence on Georgia law. Jay has extensive trial experience in products liability, professional liability, and premises liability matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. His professional liability work includes defending lawyers in legal malpractice cases and representing insurance brokers, real estate agents, and healthcare professionals. He also handles complex arbitration matters, both domestic and international, and advises clients on strategies for efficient dispute resolution. In addition to his litigation practice, Jay co-chairs the firms Korean Business & Litigation, Products Liability, and Lithium-Ion Battery Practices, and serves as avice-chair of the Hospitality sector group and the Chinese Business & Litigation practice. Over the course of his career, Jay served as the Litigation Chairman for the State Bar of Georgias Young Lawyer Division and was the campaign manager for the Honorable Sara L.
