Wright has been practicing law since 1995, and joined Freeman Mills PC, in 2018. She has been advocating and litigating on behalf of energy clients for the majority of her legal career. Ms. Wrights practice focuses on complex oil and gas litigation, oil and gas related transactions, complex commercial, business, and real estate litigation, and related appeals. She also handles other litigation matters in the areas of family law and probate. Ms. Wright enjoys assisting energy clients maneuver through the property acquisition process, enabling them to construct legally-sound and eventually-marketable asset inventories. She has been involved in renewable energy projects, and has handled pipeline acquisition projects statewide, including right-of-way/easement negotiations and condemnation/eminent domain litigation. She also handles complex litigation relating to all aspects of the oil and gas industry including construction and interpretation of oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, easement agreements, royalty disputes, title disputes, and personal injury matters involving oil and gas properties. Ms. Wright has successfully represented numerous oil and gas companies, financial institutions, and other commercial interests in the appellate arena. She handles appeals state-wide, but routinely practices before the Twelfth Court of Appeals, in Tyler, Texas. Ms. Wright is a 1995 graduate of Baylor University School of Law where she was a member of the Order of Barristers and the Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review. She also worked for Professors Gerald Powell and Louis Muldrow as the Practice Court Assistant. Following graduation, Ms. Wright worked for the Seventh Court of Appeals in Amarillo as a briefing attorney and staff attorney. She is originally from Texarkana, Texas, and returned to East Texas in August of 2003 to be near family. She has one son, Jack, and daughter-in-law Alejandra.
