Elizabeth Colyer Guerre

Experience: Elizabeth attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she earned her Juris Doctorate. During her time at LSU, she worked at the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana under the Honorable Judge Shelley Dick, the Baton Rouge District Attorneys Office and a private law firm in New Orleans specializing in insurance defense. Through these internships, she was not only exposed to, but directly aided in the handling of, a multitude of legal disputes, ranging from the practices of civil defense, criminal prosecution, and complex federal law. In her current practice, Elizabeth focuses on general civil litigation, primarily defending personal injury lawsuits. While she largely defends clients in disputes arising from automobile accidents, Elizabeth has assisted clients in a variety of complex legal matters, such as multi-party personal injury suits, shareholder disputes, defamation claims and mass tort cases. Elizabeth enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is confident in her ability to bring resolution to the many legal disputes arising daily. She looks forward to the continued growth of her practice as she counsels and vigorously defends her clients against any issue presented. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband, Joseph, their two dogs, Poppy and Daffodil, and her family in Knoxville and Charleston.
