Katherine Defino

Katherine L. Moscarino is an associate with McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L. P. A. Katie is a third-generation member of a family of trial lawyers and litigators. She devotes the majority of her practice to personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death litigation and trials. She represents clients and their families who have been harmed by negligence, medical negligence, dangerous and defective products, assault and battery, defamation, motor vehicle accidents, dog bites and employer intentional torts. Katie has extensive trial experience and has sat second chair for more than eight trials since joining the firm. She has successfully litigated and counseled clients in county, federal and appellate courts. Katie has obtained favorable results both inside and outside the courtroom. Her practice also includes criminal defense, education law and commercial litigation. Katies background includes both civil and criminal experience in the private and public sector. Her current plaintiff oriented civil practice and criminal defense work is enhanced by prior experience on the other side of such matters. This provides Katie with a unique perspective which she uses to anticipate issues and strategize for her clients benefit. Katie was involved in a nationally publicized aggravated murder case. She has also worked for the Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section of the Department of Justice on the highest level of federal drug trafficking prosecutions. Katie is an active member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. She holds a position on the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Litigation Counsel. Katie is also a member of the Cleveland Botanical Gardens Young Leaders Board. Katie is a Cleveland native and a graduate of Hathaway Brown School and Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
