Kyle Fontaine Biography Kyle Fontaine is a partner in Wicker Smiths Orlando office. He joined the firm as a law clerk in 2014, and has built his career here ever since. A talented litigator with experience handling complex medical malpractice cases, Kyles practice focuses on defending hospitals, physicians, and other medical professionals against claims involving allegations of negligence, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, and other liability issues. Kyle is often retained for the broader vision he brings to his work in defending healthcare institutions. He also takes particular pride in defending the next generation of healthcare providers and in guiding them through what can often be a traumatizing first encounter with the lawsuit and claims process. Additionally, Kyle has significant experience in handling general liability claims. Kyle has guided clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigations and expert evaluations to trial and appeal. Kyle graduated cum laude from the Honors Program at the University of Miami with a triple major in Economics, Political Science, and International Studies. He went on to earn his J. D., cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2016. Kyle married his wife, Stephanie, in 2025. Together, they enjoy exploring the world through travel and culinary exploits.
