While in law school, Attorney DeFilippo was a teachers assistant, senior editor of the Law Review, and was elected Vice President of NSUs Trial Association. While maintaining these positions, Attorney DeFilippo excelled as a mock trial competitor winning dozens of rounds in many competitions around the country. It was this love for trial advocacy that led Attorney DeFilippo to join the Miami-Dade State Attorneys Office as a prosecutor in 2017 after passing the Florida Bar examination. While a prosecutor, Attorney DeFilippo took part in many trials and excelled through the ranks to become an A level prosecutor handling serious first-degree felonies and homicides. Now as partner of Lopez & DeFilippo, Attorney DeFilippo is dedicated to investigating every aspect of his cases while using his expansive knowledge of the law to develop effective legal strategies.
