About
Alex Carlson is a trial attorney and associate at Waranch & Brown, LLC. His work focuses on defending against claims of medical malpractice and representing physicians and other health care providers in professional licensing and Board matters. Mr. Carlson also represents health care providers and institutions in criminal-related matters. Prior to joining Waranch & Brown, Mr. Carlson worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office. With that office, he successfully litigating jury trials for armed robbery, burglary, domestic assault, and murder in the first degree. Mr. Carlson also served as an intern to the Honorable Judge Mickey J. Norman of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. Mr. Carlson received his law degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. There, he received several honors, including the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Coif. Mr. Carlson was a member of the University’s Moot Court Team, where he was a semi-finalist in the 2011 Morris B. Myerowitz Moot Court Competition. He was also a member of the Maryland National Trial Team, where he was a Finalist in the 2012 Tournament of Champions, sponsored by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
