Mason G. Jones

When difficult areas of the law impact clients, Mason applies a thoughtful and calculating approach to help clients unravel the issues at hand. His personable demeanor helps him to connect with clients, allowing him to better understand the business challenges they face and then devise an appropriate strategy that matches both their risk tolerance and the situational requirements. Mason has broad commercial and employment litigation experience, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex lawsuits. He litigates for and advises companies in employment-related matters involving sexual harassment and discrimination; claims involving the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Equal Pay Act (EPA); and litigation involving noncompete agreements and the misappropriation of trade secrets. Representing businesses in various industries, Mason also handles complex commercial claims such as breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business divorce and fraud. He regularly represents and counsels clients in the construction, real estate, private equity, oil and gas, banking and manufacturing industries. In addition, Mason is a frequent contributor for legal and business trade publications on legal topics related to business operations, including insurance and employment issues in the face of COVID-19 and the use of arbitration in the employment context.
