Carl A. McMahan, Esq. SEASONED PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER Carl McMahan attended San Diego State University and received a B. A. Degree, with honors, in 1976. He thereafter was a ski instructor in Vail Colorado for two years before attending University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 1982. Mr. McMahan began his legal career at Kirtland & Packard in Los Angeles in 1983. He defended physicians and hospitals during those years until joining the law offices of David M. Harney in 1987. Mr. Harney was a legendary plaintiffs trial lawyer who invented medical malpractice by having the first case in California against a hospital in 1953. He thereafter wrote the book on the subject entitled Medical Malpractice. Mr. Harney was Mr. McMahans mentor for ten years until Carl formed his own firm in 1995 representing plaintiffs and victims, The Law Offices of Carl A. McMahan and later McMahan Law PC. Mr. McMahan has tried over 90 civil jury trials to verdict on behalf of injured victims and their families, in addition to prosecuting countless arbitrations and mediations on their behalf. He has recovered millions on behalf of his deserving clients. Mr. McMahan has tried cases involving medical malpractice, elder abuse, governmental tort liability, products liability, general liability and wrongful death. He and his firm are dedicated to the mission of representing injured victims and their families at their greatest time of need.
