Kathryn Lopez

Kathryn (Kate) Lopez is an associate with Bush Graziano Rice & Hearing, P. A. She focuses her practice on both labor and employment law and the defense of medical malpractice matters. Prior to joining Bush Graziano Rice & Hearing, Kate worked at one of the largest insurance defense firms in Florida where she handled a large caseload consisting of employment, breach of contract, products liability and premises liability cases. She also worked at the Office of the State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit where she managed over three hundred cases across misdemeanor and domestic violence divisions and participated in criminal jury trials and motion hearings. She also gained experience in criminal appeals. She received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 2018. While attending law school, Kate served as an online editor of Stetson Law Review and was a member of the Student Bar Association serving as a chair for Budget Committee and Alumni Committees. In her final year, she was awarded the highest distinction in trial advocacy, the Wehle Award. Kate is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, Middle District of Florida and Northern District of Florida. She is currently a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Pinellas County Bar Association, and the Florida Bar, including the Labor and Employment Section and Young Lawyers Division.
