For the third year in a row, I was selected by the President of the Florida Bar as one of twelve attorneys in the State to serve on the Civil Trial Certification Committee. This Committee is charged with reviewing the applications and verifying the qualifications of Board Certification applicants, reviewing and revising the Board Certification examination to enusre it fairly tests for the expertise required of a Board Certified trial attorney, and grading the Board Certification exams to determine whether an applicant displayed the requisite knowledge, skill and expertise to become Board Certified. The Committeee also reviews recertification applications from exisitng Board Certified attorneys to determine whether they remain qualified amd actively engaged in civil trial litigation. , 2018
