Krista L. Garcia

Krista Founded Power Legal after working as New Mexico State Prosecutor. Fed up with watching people get lost in the Criminal Justice system, and no one really in a hurry to help, she knew she had to make a career change. Krista now practices Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Estate Planning here in New Mexico. She is passionate about helping people maintain their personal freedom and meaningful connections to their children. Krista earned her Jurist Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law. Everyones a lobo! Woof! Woof! Woof! While Krista is based in Albuquerque, her clients reach across New Mexico and her experience across the globe. Krista was a legal observer at the Military Criminal Tribunals for suspected terrorists in Guantanamo bay, Cuba. She was also the first and only American to work with the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals in the Hague, The Netherlands.
