CHRISTINA Y. TAYLOR is a partner in the firms business and commercial litigation department. Christinas practice focuses on all aspects of federal and state commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex business litigation matters. Christina represents clients of all shapes and sizes, from large corporations to closely-held companies, in a wide range of matters, including contract litigation, shareholder disputes, non-compete agreements, fraudulent transfer actions, real estate development matters, disagreements between LLC members, and high net worth dissolution of marriage cases. Christinas litigation experience extends to trials and appeals at both the state and federal levels. In addition to prevailing at trial, Christina has also successfully argued motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss with prejudice, handled complex discovery disputes, negotiated settlements in highly contentious cases, and obtained injunctive relief and appointment of receivers. Prior to joining the firm, Christina was an associate at Foley & Lardner LLP in Tampa, where she handled commercial litigation and creditors rights matters. In addition to her litigation practice, Christina also counsels clients on a variety of corporate matters, including business formation, contract drafting and analysis, and applying for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Christinas litigation experience gives her a unique perspective in drafting and analyzing corporate documents, as she is able to draw on her prior experience in order to address her clients potential litigation risk and exposure and avenues available to reduce such risk. She also has been instrumental in forming creative solutions to resolve complex issues short of protracted litigation. Christina received her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law, graduating first in her class. While in law school, Christina received seven book awards (highest grade in class) and was an award-winning member of the Moot Court team. She also served as Articles Editor of The Florida State University Law Review and was named Outstanding Editor of the Year. Christina received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University where she received the Presidents Undergraduate Humanitarian of the Year award. Christina is also committed to her community and giving back to others. She volunteers regularly with the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando - Orlando Shelter and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida - Nemours Campus. She is also actively involved in the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers annual Angel Tree Project benefitting the children of Rock Lake Elementary.
