Born and raised in South Florida, the opportunity to represent community associations throughout the State of Florida has been immensely rewarding and has developed into a passion. This passion can be traced back to the start of my legal career at a small firm, where I advocated for my first association clients. Nearly a decade later, I have immersed myself in the many complex issues facing community associations in their day-to-day business, management and the operational aspects of governing their communities. My role and duties to our clients encompass a general counsel role, providing support to Board of Directors and association managers regarding covenant enforcement, drafting and interpretation of Governing Documents, risk management, levying and collecting special assessments, and any other matter for which a client needs additional perspective or counsel. Prior to joining Katzman Chandler, I served as general counsel for a large real estate developer, coordinating all legal matters, including the creation of community associations for the firms new construction projects. While community associations may share similar structures under Florida law, understanding each communitys unique fingerprint is vital to providing exceptional representation and advocacy.
