Matthew J. DeMaio Associate Practices Health CareCommercial Litigation Matthew J. DeMaio is an Associate in the Pittsburgh office. His practice primarily involves defending and counseling hospitals, physicians, nurses, long and short term care facilities, and a variety of other organizations. Matthew also practices corporate law, regularly forming business and drafting a variety of agreements related to asset purchases and investment. Prior to joining GRSM, Matthew was a defense attorney at several Pittsburgh-based law firms, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, employment, real estate, and corporate law. While awaiting bar exam results, Matthew served as a Fellow with Neighborhood Legal Services, where he defended dozens of indigent tenants from COVID-19 related eviction. In 2022, Matthew completed the Allegheny County Bar Association's Bar Leadership Initiative and was elected to the Young Lawyer's Division Council. He is currently serving a two-year term representing Allegheny County lawyers who have been in practice for less than ten years.
